These guys are much smaller than Stormbirds, thank goodness.  In my opinion, they're more like vultures.

They kinda remind me of The Winged Beast from 9, due to the similar way that the mouth opens with multiple segmented mouthparts (not common among birdlike monsters), and similar bird-like appearance.
